If you love to "ohh and aww" over puppies and kittens this is the place for you! Each week the Center staff will add new photos and updates on a litter of puppies or kittens that are currently in foster care so you can “Watch Us Grow”.

March 26, 2013-Meet Zinnia, our latest "Watch Us Grow" mommy! Her family moved away and left her behind, pregnant and lonely. A concerned neighbor, seeing her plight, brought her to the Pet Adoption Center, to ensure that this will be her last litter. Frightened at first, she is now warm and comfortable; thanks to dedicated volunteer Foster Flo, who will take care of her and her future babies until it's time for them to be spayed/neutered and available for adoption. |

April 4, 2013-They’ve arrived! Five beautiful babies have been born to mama Zinnia. All are doing well, Mama is taking wonderful care of her babes. |

April 11, 2013-This week, Zinnia proves just how good of a mama she is. A newborn kitten was discovered in the yard of one of our volunteers. Obviously different from the Zinnia's babes, with white and gray markings, the little one was carefully introduced to Zinnia and her kindle. After only a minute's hesitation, Zinnia began licking and cuddling the kitten. No longer an orphan the newborn is now spending time happily snuggling with its new brothers and sisters! Good girl Zinnia! |

April 18, 2013-Little eyes are squinting in the light and little ears are standing up straight! The kittens are growing up so fast! Today the little black one tried to scratch her ears for the first time, and fell over because she hasn't quite mastered balance!

May 3, 2013- Kittens are spending less time with their mom and more time exploring. Little Aspen, the orphan, is the tiniest of the litter, but the most outgoing and adventurous. He is always getting into mischief, and leading his brothers and sisters into trouble! |

May 14, 2013-Kittens are getting ready for spay/neuter surgeries. A healthy diet is important to make sure they weigh enough for their surgery. Silly Sage is anxious to have surgery so she can be invited into a forever home so she’s bulking up by eating her toy mouse! |

May 31, 2013-Today is the big day! The kittens will have their spay and neuter surgeries today. LifeLine clinic veterinarian, Dr. Humphrey gives Cedar a pre-surgery cuddle. Tomorrow the whole gang, including mama Zinnia, will be available for adoption. |

January 21, 2013-Meet our newest “Watch Us Grow” momma who arrived at The Pet Adoption Center after weeks of surviving on her own. Pregnant and weary of people, the little dog was found by a Good Samaritan but would not come close enough to be rescued. Everyday the Good Samaritan returned with food, hoping to gain the mother’s trust so that she and her unborn babies could be taken to safety. After a lot of patience, she allowed her rescuers to bring her to the PAC so her babies could be born in our Tiny Paws Nursery. Now named Tesla, we are anxiously awaiting the birth of her puppies! |

January 29, 2013-The stork has arrived! Tesla gave birth to three healthy pups. The two girls and one boy have been named Bolt, Spark and Lightning. Mama and pups are doing fantastic! |

February 7, 2013-Tesla's babies are growing like little weeds! The pups are spending the majority of their time nursing and sleeping but it won't be long before they are scooting all over and exploring the world! Pups have now opened their eyes, and their foster mom says, "It's amazing how each you can see each one of their personalities shine once their tiny eyes are open." |

February 14, 2013-Pups are ready to explore the world! Spark, the wavy-haired pup, is the most adventurous, and Tesla has her paws full trying to keep her in the puppy bed. Lightning, the black puppy and the smallest, idolizes her big sister and tries to follow her everywhere. Bolt, however, is the most laid-back, and would rather cuddle up with his mamma and favorite blanket, no adventures for this lil' guy. |

February 22,2012-Awake time has turned to all play time! Pups are enjoying each other and discovering toys.Their favorite is a big stuffed duck . . . . hmmmm hunting in their future? |

February 28, 2013-Pups have received their first round of vaccines and are now able to venture out into the world. Feeling sunlight for the first time must have been exhilarating! It didn’t take long before the group was off exploring! |

March 14, 2013-Lil' Bolt, takes a break after playtime. This is the last full week in foster care. Pups will be getting fixed next week and available for adoption March 20th. Sweet mama Tesla will be available shortly after. |

March 26, 2013-Bolt, Lightning, and Spark were all adopted to wonderful homes, thanks to the headstart they received from their foster parents: sit, potty training basics, walking properly on a leash, and puppy manners! |
